Put a lake under a clip. Everything below the waterline is replaced by a rippled, tinted mirror of the scene above it, so a skyline, a performer, or a landscape appears to stand at the edge of still water.
Waterline
Waterline sets where the scene meets the water, from 15% to 90% of the frame height. The area above the line is untouched. Place it just below the subject so its reflection starts where it stands.
Ripples and color
Ripple Strength sets how much three overlapping wave trains break up the mirror. Their spacing compresses toward the waterline as the surface recedes. Water Hue and Water Tint color the reflection, and Depth Fade dissolves detail toward the bottom of the frame.
Motion
The mirrored picture follows the source frame by frame, but the ripples are a fixed pattern. Footage with slow movement above the line, such as clouds, city lights, or a slow pan, gives a calm, convincing reflection.
