Stained Glass Video Effect

Shareable link

Settings are written to the URL as you change them. Nothing differs from the defaults yet.

Leaded glass for a clip. The frame becomes a window of glass pieces, each filled with the color behind it, held together by dark lead lines.

Scale, variance, and lead

Glass Scale sets the size of the pieces. Cell Variance moves from an even grid to irregular shards. Lead Thickness and Lead Color set the lines between cells: thick black lead gives the church-window look.

Motion

The window stays still and the light behind it moves. Slow, colorful footage such as sunsets, fire, or a moving crowd makes the glass glow and shift like a lit window.

Frequently Asked Questions

It scatters the points. Low variance gives a regular, tile-like layout; high variance gives irregular shards.
