Print a clip in Prussian blue. Every frame maps onto the tones of a sun-printed cyanotype, from dense blue shadows to warm paper highlights, on a sheet with stains and fibre.

Exposure, contrast, and depth

Exposure sets how far the print is developed toward blue. Contrast separates the shadows from the paper, and Depth sets the density of the darkest blue.

Paper

The paper texture is the same on every frame, so the clip reads as an image projected onto one print. Pair it with a slow, bright subject such as plants, water, or sky, which cyanotypes have always favoured.

What is a cyanotype?

A 19th-century photographic print made with iron salts that develop into Prussian blue under sunlight. Shadows print deep blue and highlights stay the color of the paper.

Does the paper texture move?

No. Stains, fibre, and grain are part of the paper and stay in place for the whole clip while the picture moves across them.

Can I use another pigment color?

Yes. Pigment sets the ink color. Deep blue is the classic cyanotype; browns and greens imitate toned prints.

What happens to the audio?

It is copied into the export unchanged when the container can hold its codec, and re-encoded when it cannot. A note under the export button says which happened.
