Edge intensity

Edge Intensity sets how many edges become lines. High values trace texture and soft shadows; low values keep only the strongest outlines, which gives cleaner, more diagrammatic frames. Buildings, machines, and vehicles with hard edges read best.

Color and grid

Blue Hue moves the ground between deep navy and faded cyan. Grid Opacity sets the strength of the major and minor grid lines, or removes them for a plain ground.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are the lines found?

A Sobel filter measures how fast brightness changes around each pixel. Where it changes sharply, at object edges and hard shadows, a white line is drawn over the blue ground.

Does the grid move with the picture?

No. The grid is fixed to the frame, like drafting paper, and scales with the frame so the preview and export show the same number of squares.

Why do lines flicker in some shots?

Edges are found again on every frame. Weak edges and noise near the detection limit come and go. Lower Edge Intensity to keep only strong outlines.

What happens to the audio?

It is copied into the export unchanged when the container can hold its codec, and re-encoded when it cannot. A note under the export button says which happened.
