Copy a clip on a worn office machine. Blacks crush into toner, grays fall away to paper, and the drum adds scan lines and vertical streaks.
Toner and contrast
Contrast separates the tones; Toner forces them toward two levels. High toner with moderate contrast gives the cut-and-paste zine look; lower toner keeps some photographic gray.
Lines and streaks
Scan Lines adds horizontal banding, and Streaks vertical marks. Both stay fixed from frame to frame, which reads as a faulty machine rather than noise. Pair with the thermal printer video effect for a harder 1-bit look.
