Build a clip out of toy bricks. The frame becomes a baseplate of studs, each brick colored from the picture and shaded like molded plastic.

Brick size and palette

Brick Size sets the grid, as a percentage of the frame. Small bricks keep faces and text readable; large bricks turn the clip into a chunky, low-resolution build. Palette limits colors to a classic brick set or grayscale.

Motion

Only the colors change from frame to frame; the bricks stay put. Slow, colorful footage animates smoothly. Fast motion makes the whole baseplate flicker.

The frame is divided into a grid, each cell takes the average color beneath it, and the cell is drawn as a brick with a lit stud on top. With a palette selected, the color snaps to the nearest color in that set.
