Build plastic brick mosaics
Drop in a JPEG, PNG, or WebP to transform your photo into a structural mosaic built from plastic toy bricks. The tool calculates the average color for grid segments and generates procedural 3D highlights and shadows to simulate physical blocks and interlocking studs. Everything renders locally in the browser.
Controlling the build resolution
Start by adjusting the Brick Size. Lower percentages create a massive, high-definition mosaic composed of thousands of tiny studs, retaining the detail of the original photo. Higher percentages reduce the resolution, abstracting the image into a chunky, minimalist build.
True-to-life colors and geometry
Use the Color Palette drop-down to quantize the image. Selecting Classic Bricks forces the algorithm to choose from a strict palette of primary plastic colors (red, blue, yellow, green, etc.), ensuring the result looks like something you could actually build from a basic toy set. Stud Style lets you switch between classic round pegs and smooth flat tiles.
Lighting the plastic
The Plastic Shine slider determines how aggressive the 3D shading is. Lower values create a flatter, more graphic interpretation of a mosaic, while pushing it to 100% renders harsh specular highlights on the studs and deep shadows on the bottom edges, selling the illusion of physical, glossy plastic.
