Temperature and tint

Warm indoor footage shot on daylight balance comes out orange: lower Temperature. Shade or overcast footage comes out blue: raise it. Strength scales both adjustments together.

Matching shots

The shift is fixed for the whole clip, so it corrects consistently across a shot. To neutralise a cast by picking a color that should be gray, use the white balance video tool.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which way is warmer?

Temperature is neutral at 100. Higher values warm the clip toward yellow; lower values cool it toward blue.

What does Tint fix?

The green/magenta axis. Fluorescent and LED lights often add a green cast; move Tint above 100 toward magenta to cancel it.

Does the clip get brighter when warmed?

No. Brightness is preserved, so the change reads as color, not exposure.

What happens to the audio?

It is copied into the export unchanged when the container can hold its codec, and re-encoded when it cannot. A note under the export button says which happened.
