Correct a clip shot too dark or too bright. Exposure scales the light in every frame the way an aperture or shutter change would, with highlight protection to keep bright areas from clipping when you push it up.
Exposure and protection
Exposure is neutral at 100. Raise it for underexposed footage and lower it for overexposed footage. Highlight Protection rolls off the brightest tones as they approach white. Gamma moves the midtones after the exposure change.
Consistent across the clip
The correction is fixed for the whole clip, so if the exposure in the source changes mid-shot, that change remains. Split the clip and correct each part separately if it does.
