Settings are written to the URL as you change them. Nothing differs from the defaults yet.

Brighten or darken a clip’s midtones without clipping its shadows or highlights. Gamma bends the tone curve while its ends stay fixed.

Overall and per channel

Gamma from 0.2 to 5 sets the overall curve, neutral at 1. The Red, Green, and Blue gammas adjust each channel’s midtones separately for casts that appear only in the middle of the range. For control over the end points too, use video levels.

The midtones. Black stays black and white stays white, while the tones between are lifted (gamma above 1) or lowered (below 1).

A cast that sits mostly in the midtones, such as a blue tint in gray areas, can be corrected by adjusting one channel's gamma without touching its black and white.

When a clip looks too dark or too washed out in the middle while its darkest and brightest parts are right, a common result of mismatched color spaces between devices.

It is copied into the export unchanged when the container can hold its codec, and re-encoded when it cannot. A note under the export button says which happened.
