Resize to 2560×1440
Create an exact 2560×1440 image for a QHD wallpaper, presentation background, stream scene, or YouTube channel banner. The 16:9 frame contains 3,686,400 pixels and matches common 1440p displays.
YouTube recommends at least 2560×1440 for a channel banner that can be displayed across device types.
YouTube banner safe area
Matching the full canvas does not keep every element visible everywhere. YouTube shows a narrow center section on some devices and a larger area on televisions.
Place the channel name, upload schedule, and logo in YouTube’s central safe area before resizing. Use the outer canvas for background imagery that can tolerate cropping.
QHD cover crop
The resizer scales proportionally and center-crops a source with a different ratio. A smaller source can be enlarged, but upscaling cannot create new texture or sharpen a soft screenshot.
